Anacortes Arts Festival

 The Festival is gearing up for the 50th anniversary celebration August 5, 6 and 7.

The downtown streets will be filled with 250 outstanding juried Booth Artisans, Music on multiple stages, Culinary Art and beer garden featuring ethnic and regional tastes, and a creative Youth Area.

The north end of the Festival features Arts at the Port fine art exhibition showcasing work by artists spanning 50 years of the Festival’s Permanent Collection. Experience Art with demonstrating artists and a new Gorilla/Guerrilla Open Art area round out the north Commercial Festival events.

Relay For Life of Anacortes- This Saturday & Sunday

Relay For Life of Anacortes celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.Relay for Life
 
It is a community gathering where everyone can participate in the fight against cancer. Teams of people camp out at the high school and take turns walking/running around the track. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event – because cancer never sleeps. Relay For Life is an overnight event, this year lasting a total of 18 hours.  The Anacortes Farmers Market season is officially in full swing! Find the freshest produce in town as well as delectible edibles, incredible local art and handcrafted items. Come hungry for breakfast, coffee, lunch in our outdoor market cafe.

“Ride Your Bike to the Market Day” This Saturday, 11th

Whatever way you get to the market, we’re always glad you came.  This weekend, though, we’re getting out our bikes and hoping you will, too, our 1st ever “.  If a bicycle ride pleases you, we will have a very special parade from Causeland Park to the Farmers Market at 10:30.  Prizes will be given for the “Best Decorated Bike” and “Best Decorated Helmet”.  We’ll stir up a grand ole time at the market this week.

Trawler Fest in Anacortes

Announcing the Trawler Fest in it’s fourth year at Anacortes, Washington! Situated on picturesque Fidalgo Island, the city is the gateway for Washington’s ferry run to the San Juan Islands and Victoria, B.C. Anacortes, commonly referred to as “the drive-to island,” is easily accessible and boasts a beautiful waterfront and marina, a charming downtown center, and a friendly community.

Trawler Fest is the trawler and cruising-under-power event series produced by PassageMaker Magazine. It is all about cruising on motorboats—the boats, the people, and the lifestyle.

Tulip Festival

The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival….

…is one of the destination events for the Pacific Northwest, held each year from April 1-30.

Every spring hundreds of thousands of people come to enjoy the celebration of spring as millions of tulips burst into bloom. As with all things governed by Mother Nature, the tulips bloom according to their own schedule sometime during the festival. The tulips allow us to share our corner of the world and help us to showcase Skagit Valley agriculture.

Don’t miss this great show at Cap Sante Marina. March 18th to 20th.

Over 70 boats of every type and style will be brought to the docks especially for this FREE event, so you’ll want to wear your most comfortable boat shoes and be ready to stay all day.

Established by a cooperative of Anacortes yacht brokers and dealers, there’s plenty of experience on hand to answer all of your questions as you walk the docks.

 

A decidedly casual event, boaters from all over the United States and Canada make it a point to be at CAP SANTE MARINA each year to enjoy the boats, the scenery, and hopefully a little Northwest sunshine!
